Do Your Best Anyway

12 Sep

People are often unreasonable and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are honest, people may cheat you.
Be honest anyway.

If you find happiness, people may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough.
Give your best anyway.

For you see, in the end, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.

Beautiful. So hard to do tho, because if people treat you like shit it’s a bit hard to keep smiling at them. Sinergy recieves Sinergy and same thing happends with Antagony. It’s just the way it goes.

I do believe in the power of forgivness.

Thank you. I believe the art of forgiveness and kindness in the face of unkindness is the biggest lesson, at least for me, we have to learn here on earth. And, I believe, that in forgiving, we don’t just give to the other but to ourselves, we give ourselves the freedom from the yoke of bitterness and harboring or negative thoughts that has, if we let it, the power to destroy us. ❤

Very wise words =] as the above commenter said, it can be so hard to keep doing good when it gets thrown back in your face – but someone who can keep smiling when that happens is a very strong person.

Good thoughts, I try to do that and obviously sometimes I can’t but when I do, it’s really satisfying.

That is so true. Who is the one in charge of your life? It’s not other people, so why should you change because of other people’s actions? Keep walking your path anyway. Thanks for sharing!
